OSU bounces back

? Andrea Riley scored 27 points, and No. 20 Oklahoma State beat North Texas, 77-55, on Wednesday night to rebound from its first loss of the season a night earlier.

After losing to TCU on Tuesday, Oklahoma State had its hands full in the opening minutes against North Texas. North Texas led by six points after nine minutes, but the Cowgirls scored the next eight points to take an 18-17 lead and never trailed again.

Oklahoma State (9-1) scored the final eight points of the first half to lead 36-26 at halftime. The Cowgirls pulled away in the second half, starting with a 25-14 run over the first 10 minutes.

Danielle Green scored 19 points for Oklahoma State. Shaunte’ Smith led the Cowgirls with 10 rebounds. Riley went 14-for-16 from the free throw line.

No. 11 Baylor 69, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 42

Waco, Texas – Danielle Wilson had 19 points and 14 rebounds to lead Baylor to victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

The Bears (8-1) held Texas A&M-Corpus Christi scoreless for more than 11 minutes in the first half. Jhasmin Player had 13 points and 13 rebounds for Baylor, and Rachel Allison scored 12.

Shaye Montgomery scored 11 points for the Islanders (3-8) and was the only Islander with more than three field goals.
