KU’s next opponent topples UMKC

? Eastern Washington University started its two-game road trip to the Midwest successfully on Monday night.

The Eagles improved to 3-6 by stopping UMKC, 65-54, at Municipal Auditorium.

Eastern Washington, which will visit Allen Fieldhouse for a 7 p.m. meeting with Kansas University on Wednesday, was led by senior guard Marcus Hinton’s 16 points. Senior forward Kellen Williams had 15 points, and sophomore guard Gary Gibson added 14.

The Eagles led by 13 points at halftime.
