KU women’s lacrosse 3rd at Central Plains tourney

? Kansas University’s women’s lacrosse club wrapped up its season with a third-place finish over the weekend in the Central Plains Women’s Lacrosse League championship tournament.

KU fell to eventual champion Lindenwood, 14-0 in the semifinals, but bounced back to edge Principia College, 15-10, in the third-place game.

Celie Wall led KU with four goals, while Sarah Fiske and Laura Mueller each had three. Lisa Allen had two goals and two assists, Stacy Seglem had a goal and an assist, Emily Ratzlaff and Holly Currie each scored a goal.

Kristen Sheahen had an assist.

Kansas set a school record for spring victories (10, eclipsing nine last season) and victories for a school year (21, previously 18 also last year).
