? The Kansas University baseball team rallied from an eight-run deificit, but fell one run short – for the second day in a row – in a 10-9 loss to Missouri on Sunday.

The Jayhawks trailed 8-0 after four innings, but took the lead in the top of the ninth on a solo home run by Ryne Price, his second of the day, and an RBI single by Kyle Murphy.

However, with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, MU pinch hitter Brock Bond singled, and center fielder Evan Frey homered to right-center off relief pitcher Paul Smyth.

Missouri relief pitcher Kyle Gibson earned the win despite allowing the tying and go-ahead runs to score in the top of the ninth.

KU had 11 hits in the game, including three by Murphy.

Kansas will travel to Manhattan on Tuesday for a nonconference battle against Kansas State at 7 p.m.
