Kyle Singler, the No. 4 prospect in the 2007 basketball class, will announce his college choice at 5 p.m. CST Friday. His dad, Ed Singler, said the announcement will be made at South Medford HS in Medford, Ore.
Sources say Singler is expected to announce his intent to play at Duke.
Singler is also ranked on rivals.com as the top small forward in the nation from that class. After averaging 20.5 points and 5.4 rebounds per game as a junior, the 6-foot-9 prospect had narrowed his college choices to Arizona, Duke and Kansas.
Singler was in attendance at Allen Fieldhouse for Late Night on Oct. 13.
In other recruiting news, James Anderson, 6-foot-6 forward from Junction City, Ark, will not be visiting Kentucky this weekend. Kansas and Oklahoma State have emerged as his top two schools, as his high school coach Joe Hammett told rivals.com. Also according to Hammett, Florida, Kentucky and Arkansas have not been eliminated from his list officially. Anderson is ranked 34th overall on rivals.com in the Class of 2007, and is the 10th-ranked small forward.
