Kansas University football coach Mark Mangino announced following Wednesday’s practice that senior Adam Barmann will start Saturday at quarterback when the Jayhawks host Colorado at 1 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
Barmann replaces freshman Kerry Meier, who re-aggravated his injured shoulder toward the of the third quarter in last Saturday’s 36-35 loss at Baylor. In three starts this season, Barmann has a 1-2 record, including leading the Jayhawks to their last win, a 13-7 win at home over South Florida on Sept. 23.
On the year, Barmann has a passer rating of 108.49, has completed 71-of-132 passes for 837 yards, three touchdowns and four interceptions.
