Oklahoma’s Maze out with ankle injury

By Staff     Nov 10, 2006

Freshman guard Bobby Maze will miss the first few weeks of Oklahoma’s season after breaking a bone in his right foot during practice.

Coach Jeff Capel said Maze, his first recruit with the Sooners, would have surgery on the foot Thursday night and was expected to miss four to six weeks.

The Sooners are already without guard Michael Neal for the first two games because of a secondary violation of NCAA rules.
