Kansas University senior forward Holly Gault and junior midfielder Nicole Cauzillo have been named Academic All-District 7 by ESPN the Magazine.

Gault was named to the first team, while Cauzillo garnered second-team honors.

The Academic All-District team is nominated and voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America. To be eligible for the team, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average above 3.2 and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s contests.

Gault was named to the academic all-district second team last season. The senior is majoring in human biology and is now eligible for the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America team, which will be announced later this month.

Cauzillo, a junior English major, received recognition by the academic all-district team for the first time in her career.
