Moran Norris, a former Kansas University fullback, has signed a free agent contract with the San Francisco 49ers.
The 6-foot-1, 254-pound Norris was a fourth-round draft choice of New Orleans in 2001. He was claimed by Houston off waivers prior to the start of the 2002 season and spent the last four seasons with the Texans.
Last season Norris, a Houston native, played in all 16 games with five starts and had one reception for four yards and 12 special-teams tackles. The Texans released him late last month.
