Jayhawks take two


— Kansas University's softball squad improved to 15-13 after two victories Saturday at the Bank of Hawaii Invitational.

In the opener, KU rallied for two runs in both the sixth and seventh innings to eke out a 4-3 victory over Longwood. Serena Settlemier (9-3) earned the win, homered and drove in two runs.

In the Jayhawks' nightcap, Settlemier homered again, and Kassie Humphreys (6-8) allowed just two hits in seven innings as KU beat Hawaii, 3-1.

The Jayhawks will finish play in the tournament today with two games - at 2 p.m. against Oklahoma State and 4 p.m. against San Diego State.
