Kansas University senior outfielder Matt Baty hopes to return before the end of the season after suffering a concussion during a collision in the outfield Saturday against Lipscomb.
“In a second-inning collision with my teammate Kyle Murphy on Saturday against Lipscomb, I lacerated my spleen and kidney,” Baty said in a statement. “No surgery was needed, but I’m feeling sore and weak. For an extended period of time I’m not allowed to do any physical activity.”
