The Kansas University football team’s regular-season finale against Missouri on Nov. 25 will be televised by ABC. Kickoff at Faurot Field in Columbia, Mo., is set for 11 a.m.
It’s the second guaranteed television game for KU announced so far. A Sept. 15 Friday night game at Toledo will be broadcasted by ESPN2. Some of KU’s other Big 12 Conference games could be picked up by ABC, Fox Sports or TBS, but those decisions won’t be finalized until, at the earliest, 12 days before kickoff.
The Border War game was assured of being televised when it was moved to Thanksgiving weekend earlier this year, but ABC’s decision to pick up the game was just announced Monday. It will be the first Border War game televised since 2003, when Bill Whittemore led KU to a 35-14 victory at Memorial Stadium.
The Nov. 25 showdown will be KU’s sixth appearance on ABC since the Big 12 Conference’s inception a decade ago. Most recently, KU was pummeled by Texas, 66-14, on ABC last November.
