Texas out in Austin

? Jonathan Diaz had an RBI double, and Matt Camp doubled in the eighth inning to help North Carolina State eliminate defending national champion Texas, 6-3.

Hunter Harris tied things up for the Longhorns (41-21) in the seventh with an RBI double. But Texas reliever Randy Boone couldn’t hold off North Carolina State during its three-run eighth inning.

Wolfpack starter Gib Hobson (10-2) pitched a complete game, giving up five hits and three runs. Texas pitcher Adrian Alaniz (7-4) took the loss, allowing five runs on eight hits in seven innings.

Baylor 7, Arizona St. 2

Houston – Beamer Weems hit a three-run home run in the third inning to help rally Baylor.

Cory VanAllen quickly settled down and allowed only five hits and one earned run in 52â3 innings.

Rice 7, Baylor 2

Houston – Senior Eddie Degerman struck out a season-high 14 batters to pace Rice.

Baylor’s only runs came in the fourth inning.

Oklahoma 15, TCU 6

Norman, Okla. – Brandon Moss hit a grand slam, and Kevin Smith and Kody Kaiser also homered as Oklahoma eliminated Texas Christian.

Ryan Rohlinger put Oklahoma ahead with a two-run double in the third inning.

The top-seeded Sooners jumped to a 10-0 lead and avenged a loss in the regional.

Oklahoma 12, Wichita State 7

Norman, Okla. – Ryan Rohlinger had a season-high four hits, including a home run to start a four-run seventh inning, and John Brownell provided much-needed pitching relief help as Oklahoma beat Wichita State.

The teams will play again today for the right to advance to a super regional.

Oklahoma State 6, Arkansas 5

Fayetteville, Ark. – Adam Carr’s three-run homer in the sixth inning helped Oklahoma State eliminate Arkansas.

Oklahoma State starter Oliver Odle (5-4) went 61â3 innings, giving up three earned runs and striking out three. The Cowboys’ five-run sixth inning started when Corey Brown hit a solo home run.

Oral Roberts 9, Oklahoma State 2

Fayetteville, Ark. – Chad Rothford hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning, and Oral Roberts dominated the Fayetteville Regional championship game.

Oklahoma State, beaten by the Golden Eagles for the fourth time this season by a combined 32-10 total, left 10 base-runners stranded in the final game of its season.

Missouri 2, UCLA 1

Malibu, Calif. – Rick Zagone allowed one run on six hits while striking out seven, and Evan Frey singled home Brock Bond in the bottom of the seventh to help the Tigers eliminate UCLA.

Tim Stewart scored the lone run for the Bruins.

Missouri 4, Pepperdine 1

Malibu, Calif. – Missouri’s Aaron Crow allowed one run on six hits as Missouri avoided elimination, setting up a rematch for the Malibu Regional championship today.

Crow earned his first victory of the season, striking out three and walking none.

John McKee provided the final two runs in the sixth with his fourth homer of the season for Missouri.
