Jayhawks add to ’07 class

By J-W Staff Reports     Jul 28, 2006

Kansas University’s football team received another oral commitment for the 2007 class, this time from defensive lineman Patrick Dorsey.

Dorsey, from Houston’s Yates High, had early offers from Kansas, Baylor and Houston, according to rivals.com. At 5-foot-11 and 265 pounds, Dorsey projects as a defensive tackle in college.

“Kansas is a good academic school and the right fit for me,” Dorsey told rivals.com. “I have looked at their depth chart, their program and talked to people about them. I like the direction of their program, and their coaches sold me.”

Kansas now has seven early commitments for the 2007 class. Commitments are non-binding until letters of intent are signed in February.
