? The Golden State Warriors have waived guard Aaron Miles, executive vice president of basketball operations Chris Mullin announced Thursday.

Miles, a Kansas University product, appeared in 19 regular-season games for Golden State, averaging 0.8 points and 1.3 assists in 6.2 minutes per contest. The rookie guard made the team’s roster after being signed as a free agent. Miles was a victim of the business side of the NBA. NBA contracts became guaranteed for the season Thursday night. Miles had signed a one-year deal.

Had Miles not been cut, he would have been paid the remaining $238,284 on his contract, which was for the league minimum $398,762.

“It’s not in my control from the standpoint of I’m not making decisions,” Miles said. “As long as you stay positive, positive things happen.”
