KU softball wins twice

? Destiny Frankenstein hit three homers on the day as Kansas University’s softball team opened the Louisville Slugger Desert Classic with two victories Friday.

Frankenstein was 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs in the Jayhawks’ 8-3 rout of Central Michigan. Later Friday, she had two homers in a 4-0 blanking of Cal Poly.

Nettie Fierros was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Betsy Wilson was 2-for-2 with an RBI and Erika Simington also homered against CMU.

Stevie Crisosto homered and went 2-for-3 with a run and two RBIs against Cal Poly.

Kansas improved to 4-2. The tournament continues today.
