Middle blocker Uhart granted waiver for ’05

By Staff     Aug 15, 2006

Kansas University middle blocker Natalie Uhart was granted a medical-hardship waiver Monday and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining at KU, coach Ray Bechard said Monday.

Uhart, a Lansing native, was granted a hardship waiver by the Big West Conference for her 2005 season at Long Beach State.

In 2005, Uhart played in five matches early in the season. The NCAA states that student-athletes who participate in less than 20 percent of the team’s scheduled contests because of injury may be granted an additional year of competition by the conference.
