For the third time since Kansas University’s upset loss to Bradley last month, freshman Brandon Rush again said he will return to Lawrence for his sophomore season.
The NBA early entry deadline past at 11:59 p.m. Saturday. No Jayhawks entered their names for the draft.
Rush, the Jayhawks leading scorer, who had been considered a possible late first-round, definite second-round pick — reiterated his reason for returning.
“I had a great experience my freshman year. I’m really looking forward to next season,” Rush said in a released statement by KU.
“We had a good year, but we still have unfinished business to take care of.”
