Jayhawks net three on Big 12 academic team

Three members of Kansas University women’s tennis squad were named Academic All-Big 12 First Team, the conference announced Tuesday.

Senior Christine Skoda and sophomores Elizaveta Avdeeva and Stephanie Smith were each named to a list of 38 student-athletes who have maintained at least a 3.20 GPA, earning first-team accolades.

Skoda, sports management major, was named to last year’s team as well, earning second-team honors. Avdeeva is currently majoring in organizational communications, while Smith is a business administration major.
