Boston College and Kansas are expected to begin a home-and-home series in men’s basketball next season at Allen Fieldhouse.
KU officials indicated Wednesday that the two schools had discussed dates for the series between KU and B.C., an Atlantic Coast Conference team that went 28-8 last year and advanced to the Sweet 16. No contracts have been signed.
Boston College returns three starters, including Jared Dudley, one of the top small forwards in the powerful ACC.
KU also will play Southern California at Allen Fieldhouse and travel to South Carolina next season, as well as play Florida in the Las Vegas Invitational.
In recruiting, Kyle Singler, a 6-foot-8, 210-pound high school junior forward from Medford, Ore., has narrowed his list to four schools. Singler, who attends South Medford High, told Rivals.com he would attend Kansas, Duke, UCLA or North Carolina.
“I am really looking forward to visiting KU and getting a better feel for the program, the school and coach (Bill) Self,” Singler told Rivals.com.
“KU is definitely in the mix and is a definite option for me.”
Singler, who averaged 19.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game, is not sure when he’ll make a campus visit to KU.
