The Jayhawks (13-8 overall, 4-5 Big 12 Conference) almost found themselves without a shot at victory before doubles play even began.
Down 3-2 after five singles matches, KU’s lone remaining player, Elizaveta Avdeeva, rallied from a 5-3 deficit in the second set to earn a 1-6, 7-5, 6-3 victory over Monica Milewski in the No. 2 singles match.
