Kansas University’s soccer team will face the Canadian National team Thursday, April 13 at Hummer Sports Park in Topeka, Kan. The start time for the match has been moved up two hours to 3 p.m. and admission is free.
The powerful Canadian National team is in the middle of a four-city, five-match tour against NCAA teams. Team Canada has defeated Purdue, 6-1, and Louisville, 9-0, and will play at the University of Missouri on Tuesday night.
“This will be a great experience to see how our players compete against a great team like Team Canada,” head coach Mark Francis said. “The spring is used to develop your players and this will be a good game to do just that.”
The match will be KU’s fourth of six scheduled for the spring season. Kansas is 1-0-2 in its first three matches including a 7-2 victory over Yale.
