Kansas University’s Serena Settlemier and Kassie Humphreys have swept Big 12 Conference weekly softball awards.
Settlemier, a senior, was named player of the week after going 7-for-11 at the plate with four home runs and two doubles.
In addition, she scored seven runs and had 13 RBIs. Settlemier also compiled two pitching victories, allowing no earned runs in 10 innings.
Humphreys, a junior, was named pitcher of the week after allowing no earned runs in 10 innings of work while striking out 14. She held opposing hitters to a .033 batting average.
