By J-W Staff Reports     Oct 26, 2005

Kansas University junior defender Holly Gault was named to the Big 12 10th Anniversary Soccer Team as selected by the league’s head coaches and announced on Wednesday. Gault joins Colorado’s senior Fran Munnelly as the lone players on the 13-member team who are currently playing collegiate soccer.

The Spring Hill, Kan., native has netted nine goals and dished out 12 assists during her two-plus years at KU. This season, Gault has started all 18 matches and scored three goals while contributing a career-high six assists.

In order to be eligible for consideration, former athletes must have been named All-Big 12 First Team at least once in their careers. Anniversary teams will be chosen for each conference sport during 2005-06 in celebration of the Big 12’s 10th anniversary season.
