Salt Lake City ? Kansas University’s two remaining representatives in the ITA Central Regional Tennis Championships were eliminated from the consolation singles bracket Saturday. KU’s Christine Skoda fell to Kansas State’s Jessica Simosa, 6-4, 6-3, and Elizaveta Avdeeva lost to Arkansas State’s Marina Engelbrecht, 6-2, 6-3.
“Overall, I thought this tournament went pretty well,” KU coach Amy Hall-Holt said. “We had some pretty impressive highlights this week. This was a very competitive tournament, and hopefully all of our girls will gain from playing these quality opponents.”
