Women’s golf tied for 4th

? Kansas University’s women’s golf team is tied four fourth place after Sunday’s first round of the 16-team Tyson/Embassy Suites Invitational.

The Jayhawks shot an opening round of 303 at the par-72 Pinnacle County Club.

Arkansas leads the tournament with a 291, followed by Nebraska with a 298.

Kansas’ Amanda Costner, who birdied five holes on the day, is the overall individual leader by one stroke after firing a 70.

Women’s golf tied for 9th

? Kansas University’s women’s golf team was tied for ninth of 18 teams Monday at the Price’s Give ‘Em Five Intercollegiate.

KU shot a two-round total of 617.

Tiffany Woods and Chelsey Pryor lead the Jayhawks after each player fired a two-round total of 153 to tie for 28th. Jill Womble is in a tie for 43rd at 155. Amanda Costner shot 157 to tie for 52nd. Annie Giangrosso is in 86th after shooting a 167.
