Bloomington, Ind. ? Kansas University’s Elizaveta Avdeeva and Ksenia Bukina picked up the Jayhawks’ only first-round doubles victory Saturday at the Hoosier Classic.
Avdeeva-Bukina defeated Notre Dame’s Katie Potts and Kelly Nelson, 9-8 (7), but fell in the second round.
KU’s Lauren Hommel and Edina Horvath lost their opener but rebounded to beat Murray State’s Casady Pruitt and Anne Pennington, 8-0.
