Auburn, Ala. ? Kansas University’s women’s golf team placed 16th of 17 teams at The Derby, which concluded Sunday at the par-72 Auburn University Club.
KU shot a three-day total of 947. Auburn won with 879.
Senior Chelsey Pryor led the Jayhawks with a 225 total and a tie for 16th.
Sophomore Annie Giangrosso tied for 58th with a three-round total of 236. Senior Meredith Winkelmann tied for 73rd with a 243. Junior Amanda Costner tied for 76th with 244, and Sarah Kierl was 89th with 26.
Auburn’s Maria Martinez won with a 209.
The Jayhawks have wrapped up the fall season and next will play Feb. 20-21 at the Central District Invitational in Parrish, Fla.
