Ten former Kansas University men’s basketball players, including rookies Aaron Miles and Wayne Simien, will be playing in the NBA this season.
Miles, a point guard, will be playing for the Golden State Warriors, and Simien, a power forward, for the Miami Heat.
Other former Jayhawks on current rosters include Nick Collison (Seattle SuperSonics), Drew Gooden (Cleveland Cavaliers), Kirk Hinrich (Chicago Bulls), Raef LaFrentz (Boston Celtics), Greg Ostertag (Utah Jazz), Paul Pierce (Boston Celtics), Scot Pollard (Indiana Pacers) and Jacque Vaughn (New Jersey Nets).
Eric Chenowith, Keith Langford and Billy Thomas were cut this preseason by Denver, Houston and Washington respectively.
