If you want to see your name in granite outside the new Booth Family Hall of Athletics now under construction on the east side of Allen Fieldhouse, it’ll cost you.
Approximately 3,600 granite pavers will surround the statue of basketball coaching legend Phog Allen, and they’re available for inscriptions at a price.
Six-inch square pavers will require a donation of $350, and the 12-inch square pavers will go for $600.
KU athletic director Lew Perkins said the plan was implemented at the suggestion of many fans.
“They wanted a way to express in a permanent way the love they have for KU athletics,” Perkins said. “They felt this was the perfect way, and the perfect time, to do that, and we agree.”
All donations are tax-deductible, and orders must be received by Oct. 1.
