Kansas University’s Kevin Ward has been named to the All-Big 12 Conference golf team as selected by league coaches.
Ward, a senior from Leawood, led the Jayhawks with a 72.00 stroke average this spring. He was named Golfweek’s player of the week in April after shooting a career-best 64 in the Colorado-Stevinson Ranch Invitational.
He finished in a tie for 15th at the Big 12 championships last week in Trinity, Texas.
Ward and his KU teammates will travel May 19-21 to South Bend, Ind., to compete in the NCAA Central Regional.
