Thirty-six intramural basketball teams will be vying for a bid to the national championships next week at Kansas University.
The Rock Chalk Classic intramural basketball tournament is being hosted by KU Friday through Sunday at the Student Recreation Fitness Center.
KU is one of eight sites selected by the National Intramural Recreational Sports Assn. to have a regional tournament. Winning teams advance to the National Intramural Basketball Championships April 15-17 at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.
The women’s championship will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, with the men’s championship at 2:30 p.m.
All games are open to the public.
