Kansas University’s tennis team fell to Nebraska, 6-1, Saturday at Robinson Courts with KU’s lone victory coming from junior Christine Skoda in No. 2 singles.

Skoda, an Edmonton, Alberta, native, edged Nebraska’s Imke Reimers in a third-set tiebreaker, 6-2, 3-6, 1-0 (7).

“We competed well today, but we didn’t take advantage of some opportunities to win points,” KU coach Amy Hall-Holt said. “Christine Skoda played as well as she has all season.”

The Jayhawks (2-9 overall, 1-2 Big 12 Conference) will travel to Oklahoma next weekend to face the Sooners on Friday and Oklahoma State on Saturday.
