Add four more dates to Kansas University's soon-to-be released 2004-05 men's basketball schedule.
He was late, and everybody in the gymnasium knew it. That's why most of the college coaches, Internet recruiting gurus/reporters and other assorted basketball junkies turned their attention to other games Thursday evening during the first day of this weekend's Price Chopper/Kansas City Prep Invitational at the Johnson County Parks and Recreation facility.
The "possible misconduct" involving a Kansas University football coach that contributed to the launching of an internal investigation was related to a coaches-certification exam taken in May of 2003.
Perhaps the finger-pointing is misdirected sometimes. With all the question marks surrounding Kansas University's football offense this year -- from the quarterbacks' big-play capabilities to the running backs' efficiency carrying the ball to the receivers' relative inexperience outside of senior Mark Simmons -- KU offensive guard David Ochoa can't help but wonder if the line can do plenty to answer them all.
