Jayhawks’ Giles set for Under 21 team tryouts


— Kansas University sophomore forward C.J. Giles is one of 20 basketball players to participate in USA Basketball's Under 21 national team tryouts today through Saturday. The 20 players will try for spot on the 12-man Under 21 team to compete at the FIBA world championships Aug. 5-14 in Argentina.

Others to try out: Ronnie Brewer, Arkansas; Mardy Collins, Temple; Josh Boone, Connecticut; Aaron Brooks, Oregon; Shannon Brown, Michigan State; JamesOn Curry, Oklahoma State; Glen Davis, LSU; Jared Dudley, Boston College; Nick Fazekas, Nevada; Rudy Gay, UConn; Taj Gray, Oklahoma; Allan Ray, Villanova; J.J. Redick, Duke; Terrence Roberts, Syracuse; Rajon Rondo, Kentucky; Darius Washington, Memphis; Marcus Williams, UConn; Curtis Withers, Charlotte.

St. Joseph's Phil Martelli is head coach and is assisted by Bruiser Flint of Drexel and Dennis Felton of Georgia.
