Ex-Jayhawk Tribble signs with White Sox

Former Kansas University baseball outfielder Matt Tribble has signed a contract with the Chicago White Sox organization.

Tribble, who played four seasons at KU, finished his career first in school history with 825 at-bats and second in games played with 219. In his final season in Lawrence, Tribble batted .311 and collected 16 doubles and four home runs while driving in in 46 runs.
