College Station, Texas ? Kansas University’s women’s swimming and diving team is in fourth place after two days of the Big 12 Conference meet.
Texas stands in first place with 300 points, followed by Texas A&M (250), Nebraska (152), KU (166), Missouri (131) and Iowa State (111).
KU senior Amy Gruber placed second in the 50 freestyle Thursday in a season-best time of 22.92. Junior Gina Gnatzig placed sixth in the 500 free in a season-best 4:51.31.
Gnatzig teamed with senior Miranda Isaac, junior Lindsey Urbatchka and sophomore Jenny Short for fourth in the 400 medley relay (3:47.21).
Sophomore Shelby Noonan notched fifth in three meter diving in 430.9 points.
