Sultanova, Hann break Jayhawk records

? Freshman Ekaterina Sultanova and senior Brooklyn Hann each broke their own school records as Kansas University’s track and field squad competed Saturday at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational.

Sultanova won the pole vault in a KU-record height of 13 feet, 7.75 inches, breaking her previous record of 13-7.25 that she set three weeks ago.

Hann’s mark of 42-4.25 in the triple jump broke her previous record of 42-3.25.

KU will send squads to two meets next weekend. The Jayhawks will compete at the ISU Invitational in Ames, Iowa, and the John McDonnell Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.
