Kansas University’s Gary Woodland was named most improved among collegiate men’s golfers by Golf World magazine.

Ranked seventh in the nation in the Golf Stat Cup rankings, Woodland competed in five tournaments in the fall, winning one and finishing in the top three in three others. His average score was 69.87.

“He had one poor round out of 15,” KU golf coach Ross Randall said.
