Brandon Rush, a 6-foot-6 guard from Kansas City, Mo., might end his recruiting saga early this week.
“Maybe Monday,” a source close to the Rush family said.
Scout.com on Saturday indicated Rush would make an announcement Monday.
Individuals close to Rush have said KU figures to beat out Indiana and Illinois. Rush has been waiting word from the NCAA Clearinghouse to see if he’s eligible to play college basketball.
¢ Boschee tapped: Former KU basketball player Jeff Boschee has been hired as assistant boys hoops coach at Blue Valley Northwest High. Boschee, who has played for various professional teams, finished his eligibility at KU after the 2001-02 season.
“I got sick of traveling and thought it was a great opportunity to get into coaching,” said Boschee, who will assist head coach Ed Fritz.
