Dakota Lewis, a 6-foot, 190-pound high school senior linebacker from Sulphur, Okla., on Friday orally committed to Kansas University’s football team.

Rivals.com reports that Lewis chose KU over LSU, Oklahoma State, Iowa State and Texas Tech.

“When schools start calling me in September, I will tell them I’m committed to Kansas,” Lewis told Jon Kirby of rivals.com. “I didn’t want go into my senior year worrying about college and recruiting.

“We had a scrimmage tonight, and now I can just focus on football and my senior year.”
