Kansas University’s football team has been practicing under wraps for the last three days, but the Jayhawks will make a public appearance today.

Kids Day is scheduled this afternoon on the practice fields south of Anschutz Pavilion.

The annual event will begin at 5 p.m. in the parking lot south of Allen Fieldhouse. Youths will able to take part in inflatable games and receive a free gift courtesy of Gatorade. Football posters and schedule cards also will be available.

At 5:30 p.m., youths will be able to participate in drills and stretching exercises during the final 30 minutes of practice. Then the Jayhawks will be available to sign autographs and pose for pictures.

KU coach Mark Mangino will begin conducting two-a-day drills next week. However, practices will remain closed until Thursday’s Media Day.
