By Staff     Aug 6, 2005

Former Kansas University football assistant Tyrone Dixon has landed an assistant-coaching job at his alma mater, Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Dixon returns to IUP, a Division Two university, after coaching the KU wide receivers the past three seasons. He played for the Indians from 1982-85, was a graduate assistant at IUP in 1986 and ’87 and served as running-backs coach in 1988 and 1989.

Dixon was one of three coaches on Mark Mangino’s staff not to return for the 2005 season. Former running-backs coach Pat Henderson now works in the Williams Fund office at KU, while Ed Warinner is offensive line coach at Illinois.
