Kansas University’s women’s basketball team shouldn’t suffer from road weariness next season. The Jayhawks will have 19 games in Allen Fieldhouse, including exhibitions against Pittsburg State and Emporia State.
Coach Bonnie Henrickson’s team will open the regular season Nov. 20 against Binghamton, then meet Detroit-Mercy (Nov. 22) and Northeastern (Nov. 27) before going to the Privateer Invitational in New Orleans Dec. 2-3.
Then the Jayhawks will have six straight nonconference home games against UMKC (Dec. 7), Wisconsin (Dec. 11), Florida International (Dec. 18), Creighton (Dec. 21), Pepperdine (Dec. 28) and LaSalle (Dec. 30).
The long homestand will continue when the Jayhawks open Big 12 Conference play Jan. 4 against Texas.
