KU bowling locks down top seed

? Kansas University men’s bowling team’s national title defense is off to a favorable start.

In Thursday’s qualifying round of the Intercollegiate Bowling Championships, the Jayhawks led all teams with a score of 6,425, making them the top seed going into today’s match-play games.

Kansas will play 16th-seeded Toledo at about 9:30 this morning. The women are seeded 12th, and will play Western Illinois.

On Wednesday, Rhino Page was named first-team All-America at the IBC banquet, and KU women’s bowler Kelly Zapf was named second-team.
