USA Today named Kansas University basketball signees Julian Wright and Micah Downs as being among the country’s top 15 players.
Wright, 6-foot-9 from Homewood-Flossmoor High, was named second-team All-America by the newspaper. Downs, 6-8 from Kirkland, Wash., was named third team.
Also, Wright was named second-team Parade All-America and Downs to the fourth team. Signee Mario Chalmers was named to the third team.
