Shaking off three poor performances in kusports.com’s Wanna Whack Woodling contest, Journal-World Sports Editor Chuck Woodling bounced back with a 5-1 record last week.

Still, 58 participants topped Woodling at 6-0. Carl Brooks of Baldwin and Gayle Parker of Tonganoxie tied for first, missing the final score of the KU-Tech game by five points each. Both earned a We Whacked Woodling T-shirt for their victory.
