KU women 13th in Texas

? Kansas University’s golf team placed 13th Sunday out of 18 teams at the Jeannie McHaney Invitational.

The Jayhawks, who shot a 317 during the final round, finished with a two-round total of 628. The second round was canceled due to inclement weather. Notre Dame was first with 593 and Oklahoma second with 597.

Sophomore Amanda Costner led the Jayhawks by shooting a 75 and tying for 17th. She was followed by junior Tiffany Woods (77, tied for 47th), junior Chelsey Pryor (82) and sophomore Jill Womble (85), who tied for 76th, and junior Meredith Winkelmann (83, tied for 86th). Freshman Annie Giangrosso, playing as an individual, shot a 78 in her first career tournament and tied for 74th.
