The KU student advisory committee will host 100-120 youths, ages third to eighth grade. Also attending will be 50 KU athletes and more than 30 law-enforcement officers.

The youngsters will practice sports skills with the Jayhawks and learn information ranging from personal safety to nutrition with officers from KU’s police department, Lawrence PD, KBI, Douglas County Sherrifs department, DEA and the Kansas Highway patrol.

This year’s event will feature five sports stations and five educational sessions. More information is available on kuathletics.com.
