Kansas University’s athletics department donated more than 2,100 food items to local agencies during its annual holiday food drive for the needy throughout the Lawrence community.
The Thanksgiving dinner items, which were collected from Oct. 28 to Nov. 19, were donated to the Pelathe Community Resource Center and The Salvation Army.
Members of the KUAC Staff Advisory Committee organized the collection and distributed the food to the local centers.
